Dr. Banafsheh Sharif-Askary is a fellowship-trained aesthetic plastic surgeon specializing inrefined facial and body surgery. She completed advanced aesthetic fellowship training atManhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital in New York City – one of the nation’s most prestigiouscenters for cosmetic surgery – where she trained extensively in deep plane facelift techniquesand advanced facial rejuvenation under internationally recognized Park Avenue aesthetic surgeons.
Prior to fellowship, she completed a rigorous six-year integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Her training spanned the full spectrum of plastic surgery, including complex microsurgical reconstruction, limb salvage, breast reconstruction, and craniofacial surgery. This comprehensive foundation informs her meticulous approach to aesthetic surgery.
Dr. Sharif-Askary earned her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), recognizing the top graduating physicians. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in cleft lip and palate outcomes, healthcare disparities, limb salvage and microsurgical reconstruction, and rhinoplasty safety.
